Summary of the role

As a Junior Services Reliability Engineer, you’ll work as part of an agile team focused on maintaining and evolving ultra-highly available applications in a stable manner.

Your responsibilities

You will facilitate the promotion of new software releases from test to production system and will take an active role in the definition and evolution of the CI/CD pipeline.

You’ll contribute to the migration of mission critical applications to the public cloud (Azure).

You’ll work jointly with stakeholders to propose and design re-usable, fault-tolerant and QA proven automation.

Your main duties will also include ensuring system scalability, security, performance, and reliability as well as driving the rapid resolution of incidents by involving key stakeholders and proposing relevant solutions.

Your goal each day will be to be a valued team player. As the team is globally distributed across 4 locations, collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders are of utmost importance.

About the ideal candidate

University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines

Proficient working in Linux/Unix based environments and is familiar with DevOps or SRE concepts

Ideally has a software development background (Python, C++, Go, GitHub/Bitbucket, Jenkins)

Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a matrix environment and think outside the box

In addition, experience with Monitoring and Logging systems, Relational Databases and Cloud related ecosystem (preferably Azure) would be a plus
